This statue on Mt Oyama in the Tanzawa massif commemorates 40 years after the end of the WWII evacuation of children, about 3000 of whom were evacuated to Mt Oyama. Upon the plaque is written “Shine! Children of the Cedars”, cedar being prevalent around many such mountain shrines. 📷😊
