This work qualifies as what they call “3K” (san k) for, kitanai kitsui kiken (dirty, hard, dangerous). The operators were pumping out the sewer and it really, really stank just passing by. I cannot imaging what they felt, working with those fumes in their faces…and the young fella looked particularly glum, like “I didn’t sign up for this”. #shimbashi #tokyo
