New addition to the family. #Yokohama #Japan #vsco #fp2
Peugeot Scooters are sold only at this shop in Japan. These are “Django” scooters which are apparently built in Taiwan (?) with quite a nice fit and finish from what I saw. In #Totsuka, #Yokohama. Photo taken Friday, September 15, 2017. —Rick Cogley
After the typhoon passed, finally sun in #yokohama #japan

Barber shop has a car mounted on it, so it’s a “carber” shop, I guess. In #Totsuka, #Yokohama. Photo taken Friday, September 15, 2017. —Rick Cogley
“Refreshingly tidy storage: Rental Box. Check availability and reserve on the ‘net! We will borrow your land.” I guess you have to call to get the URL, to be able to “reserve on the ‘net”.
Kiyoken’s “Il Saggio” Italian restaurant in #Totsuka #Yokohama. Relatively formal, for this area, so it’s good for occasions. But a new small pizzeria with fantastic food opened up right in our neighborhood, so, we’ll likely go there instead.
#Yokohama Hybrid Garbage Truck - we’re eco over here
Old rusty scaffold pole
Love this color palette. In #yokohama #Japan
A sporty red honda “kei” car. Kei cars (with a yellow plate, meaning an engine under 600cc) fit in small, small spaces. In #yokohama #Japan.
Makeshift fence from construction scaffold in #Totsuka #Yokohama #Japan. I wonder, did they just have it sitting around and decided to put it around the park?
Nature’s color coordination acts as a beacon.
Fall leads to grey. #yokohama #japan
Some budding berries
Surely this tiny shed in an overgrown yard contained garden-work tools, rusted and unused, given the state of the yard. Near our neighborhood in #totsuka #yokohama #Japan.
Yokohama Inspires family day was great.
Apparently where road signs are stored. #totsuka #yokohama #Japan
A fairly steep hill in a nearby neighborhood. Someone cemented the 3 orange reflective pylons in the road, so that no vehicles would mistakenly try to go down that part of the hill. They’d be rewarded with a horrific crunch, if they did! #totsuka #yokohama #Japan
An unconnected pair in #yokohama #Japan
Pretty terra cotta colored house in #totsuka #yokohama #japan. One thing you see in Japan that you might not see elsewhere, is a lot of laundry hanging out. People like to conserve electricity and hang laundry when possible, as well as their futons (you put it over the veranda rail). I hear that when Japanese go to other countries and hang their laundry out, it’s often complained about. What’s the status in your country? Do people hang out laundry?
